Curriculum
The curriculum at Strathmore North Primary School is based on the Victorian Curriculum F–10, which incorporates the Australian Curriculum and reflects Victorian priorities and standards. The curriculum is the common set of knowledge and skills required by students for life-long learning, social development as well as active and informed citizenship.
We create learning programs that are engaging experiences for all students and place an emphasis on English and Mathematics. This focus ensures that our students develop the essential skills for success in all other learning areas. Information about the Victorian Curriculum F–10 is available here. |
Curriculum InstructionWe embed outstanding teaching and learning programs in a secure and stimulating environment from Foundation to Year 6. We build consistent, high-quality instructional practice for our entire teaching team by implementing a school-wide research-based instructional model. Our teaching teams utilise the High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) and collaborate through Professional Learning Communities (PLC) which regularly reviews teaching approaches, monitors learning outcomes and assesses student progress.

Student Welfare & WelbeingWe have a strong focus on student wellbeing and are steadfast in following our Child Safe Standards. We aim to develop a friendly, secure and caring learning environment, which allows students every opportunity to achieve their potential. We have a positive reward system used consistently across the school. Additionally, we have a school-wide process for managing discipline issues. Families are able to meet our Student Engagement and Wellbeing Officer to discuss any issues or concerns related to our enrolled students.
