Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is underpinned by the belief that all students can learn and that our strategic actions as a school can make a difference. We believe that a strategic focus on our priorities is what makes this difference in achieving positive outcomes for all students.

Our Vision
Strathmore North Primary School’s vision is that every child is empowered to learn, achieve and be equipped with the knowledge, skills and personal qualities to positively shape the world around them.
Our Mission
Strathmore North Primary School's mission is to achieve academic and social excellence for all students by upholding high expectations, nurturing authentic relationships in an inclusive environment through the implementation of high-quality teaching practices in every classroom.

Curriculum
Our staff use the Victorian F-10 Curriculum to design engaging learning experiences for all students, meeting their needs at each level. At SNPS we place our emphasis on English and Mathematics. This focus ensures that our students develop the essential skills for success in all other areas of learning.

Welfare
SNPS has a well-documented policy covering elements of student welfare, Child Safe Standards, discipline and wellbeing. We aim to develop a friendly, secure and caring learning environment, which allows children every opportunity to achieve their potential. We have a positive reward system used consistently across the school. Additionally, we have a consistent school wide process for dealing with discipline issues. If you have welfare concerns about your child, please make an appointment with the Welfare Officer once you have enrolled.

Curriculum Instruction
A key improvement strategy in our Strategic Plan is to build consistent, high quality instructional practice for every staff member through implementing a consistent, school-wide research based instructional model F-6.
All of our staff utilise the High Impact Teaching Strategies and collaborate through PLCs. |
