Designated Neighbourhood Area
As of May 1st 2017 the DET has released the expanded Designated Neighbourhood Area map for Strathmore North Primary School. It includes the Strathmore Heights area as indicated on the map below.
To assist Strathmore North in assessing your child’s eligibility for enrolment, please include in your enrolment application original or certified copies of:
Rental agreements or unconditional contracts of sale
plus 2. A copy of two of the following:
electoral enrolment confirmation
council rates notices
other official documentation that demonstrates permanent residency at that address such as a current utility bill.
Documents should show the same address and parent’s/carer’s name as recorded on the school enrolment application form.
On request, you may also be required to complete a statutory declaration confirming the student is living in the address provided in the enrolment application and that the arrangement is genuine and intended to be permanent.
Note: Enrolment applications may not be successful if the requested documentation is not provided.
Birth Certificate and Proof of Immunisation
Both a birth certificate and proof of immunisation must be sighted at the office on enrollment. By law, primary schools are required to request and record information on the immunisation status of students prior to enrolment. Parents or guardians must provide an immunisation status certificate to the school regardless of whether the child is or is not immunised. From 28 February 2018 only an Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register can be accepted as proof of immunisation status on school entry.
Enrollment Priority Order
Students for whom their permanent residential address is within the Strathmore North Designated Neighbourhood Area.
Students who have a sibling enrolled at the school.
Students in order of proximity (by straight line from the Administration area of the school) of their home to Strathmore North Primary.
Families seeking enrollment, who are outside the Designated Neighbourhood Area, endorsed by the South Western Victoria Region, will be asked to place their names on a waiting list.
